I started my journey into tech and compliance the long way. I did not have a mentor waiting for me, and the bootcamps that promised to change lives cost more than a used car. So I read the standards myself. NIST. ISO. SOC 2. HIPAA. I read them slowly, in plain English, until the language stopped feeling like a wall.

Along the way I kept meeting brilliant people who wanted a career in GRC but felt locked out. Some had families to feed. Some were changing careers late. All of them were told the same thing: pay a few thousand dollars and maybe you will get in.

That never sat right with me. GRC is not a secret club. It is a craft anyone can learn if the material meets them where they are. So I built OJM ZEN to be the course I wish I had. Free. Clear. Modern. Grounded in real frameworks, not marketing fluff.
